JAY*CLIPP

Jay*Clipp is known for rocking events big & small while educating his audience. His personal philosophy is “Educational Entertainment”.

        Clipp has an impressive roster of clients in music, fashion, sports, media, and of course the nightlife. Clients include Jay-Z, Erykah Badu, Dave Chappelle, LeBron James & LaDainian Tomlinson just to mention a few. He travels around the world spinning for record labels, designers, networks, television, and more. Clipp has distributed over 20,000 mixtapes and still continues to release them under his company Point Blank Entertainment.

        Currently, Clipp resides in Dallas, Texas, promoting several partner companies including the worldwide Team 9th Wonder/True School Corporation, and Point Blank Entertainment. He produces a variety of mixes, which has garnered the group a strong international brand of followers. He founded the Keep Spinning DJ Academy in Dallas, educating those who want to learn the art of the DJ.

        In 2022, he cofounded Spin the Spectrum Foundation, a non profit dedicated to the active inclusion of Autistic and Neurodivergent individuals by providing inclusive DJ classes for kids and adults of ALL abilities!

DA DREAK

Da Dreak is a Music Producer, Composer, Studio Owner, CEO of EyeWerk, and Lead Production Instructor at the Keep Spinning DJ Academy.

You can find Dreak wherever art and technology come together. Managed by W.A.R Media, Dreak has worked with Multi Grammy, Diamond and Platinum Selling Producer Mr. Porter’s Production Group. Da Dreak has also worked with Dr. Dre, Denaun, Pharoahe Monch, Bun B, Tony Williams, Royce da 5’9, Mickey Factz, Mela Machinko, Jean Grae and many more.

Da Dreak is the creator of the theme music for VH1’s “VH1 Live with Marc Lamont Hill”, drama series, “Finding Forever” starring Karyn White, and has created trailer music for TV One’s,” The Mann’s” and has production on the official score for the feature film, “Stay” recently released in Japan as well as Rhada Blank’s film 40 Year Old Version now available on Netflix. Da Dreak also provides music for several podcast including NPR’s “This American Life”, & Leah Fraizer’s “PR Yourself”

When not producing music, Dreak can be found on festival panels and speaking at events such as A3C, SXSW, Dallas Library, iStandard Producer Shows, and more as a co founder of SocialWerk, a social media training company. SocialWerk has worked with clients such as 2X Super Bowl Champion Asante Samuel, Best Selling Author Marc Lamont Hill, Award Winning Adult Film Star Sinnamon Love, A3C Festival, Sidewalk Chalk and Chef Eboni Dionne.

GODJ BOLADI

Wesley Simms, professionally known as GoDJ Boladi, is an American DJ residing in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. As a natural creative and music connoisseur, Boladi was drawn to the art of DJing through his driving passion to become a moving force within the disc jockey community. With influence from DJ legend Jazzy Jeff, Boladi studied the technique of turntablism and credits Jazzy Jeff for being the driving force behind his desire to leave his own imprint on the world. He has had the pleasure of working with national, regional & local artists such as Naughty by Nature, Spinderella, Big K.R.I.T, Big Tuck, AJ Johnson, Abiodun Oyewole of the last poets, Malachi, Lil FLIP, ShySpeaks and many more. Boladi is a huge supporter of the DFW music scene and is a local advocate for artist rights. He has mastered the art of crowd engagement in identifying the music that will capture his audience. Boladi is passionate about his career and doesn’t take lightly the ability to make any event a memorable one by simply being behind his turntables. GoDJ Boladi has continued to separate himself from the crowd by cultivating his own unique style of DJing by combining upbeat eclectic sounds mixed with originals. Boladi is currently the resident DJ for Mickeys sports Bar and Grill, Taco Patron, Playdates DFW, Grown & Sexy Cruises and The Beast Internet Radio. In February of 2021 he started RetroFuturistic Production Company where the Motto is #WeVibeDifferent! As a proud member of the Go DJ’s organization he continues to make strides within the music industry, his immediate market and around the world.

JAH BORN

Jah Born – 2x Grammy Award Winning Producer, Professional Drum Machinist, Music and
Content Creator.

“Insane, genius, mathematical, scientific” are only several words that illustrate the musical intellect that is Jah Born, world-known producer and “Sample Samurai”. The
Dallas bred producer is not only responsible for stamping Dallas onto the map of musical hierarchy, he also planted the seed of “Neo Soul” into the music industry;
therefore allowing Dallas to gain the respect of the industry’s A-list creative minds.
At the age of 13, Jah Born started to construct beats learning from the the creative wisdom of Dallas legend DJ Baby G. After years of perfecting his talent, history was
finally made in 1997 when the beat maker produced the track “On and On” for a local artist named Erykah Badu. The single would soon ignite the careers of the two close
friends and label Badu “The Queen of Neo Soul.” In 1998, “On and On” earned the producer 2 Grammy Awards and went on to claim triple platinum status. In the song,
Badu would spit the line, “Mad props to the god Jah Born,” which gained the Dallas-based producer household familiarity around the world.
The success of the single was only the beginning for the young Super Producer. Jah Born
would go on to produce multiple tracks with Badu including “And On” (Mama’s Gun), “Your Loving Me”, “Jump up in the Air & Stay There” (Erykah Badu / Lil’ Wayne) and RC & The Gritz featuring Erykah Badu “Leave Me Alone”.
Over the span of his career, Jah has worked with numerous artists including Rza, Will Smith, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Raheem DeVaughn, Ice Cube, Scarface, Bilal, Paul Wall, Tela, MC Ren, D.O.C., Chino XL, Raskass, Rah Digga, and others..The list goes on to include many producers such as RC Williams, Symbolic One, Shaun Martin, Picnictyme, Mic
Most, Mr. Lee, 9th Wonder, Tony CommonFolk Ballard and more.
Jah Born is a part of Dallas based eclectic Hip Hop Bands RC & The Gritz, Tha Beatitudes, and The Cannabinoids. Formed in 2006 – RC & The Gritz were the official band of the Dallas Mavericks in 2010, playing at pre-game at home games in the 2011 championship season and playoffs. The Gritz have also been nominated and won “Best Band” awards from the Dallas Observer over the years. Erykah Badu constructed the electro experimental hip hop band called “The Cannabinoids” and Jah Born is the Drum Machinist in the band…The Cannabinoids (#Noids) are a collective of producers and the band’s stage setup is comprised of laptops, turntables, keyboards, and drum machines. The group has toured all over the world with Erykah Badu and has performed at Yo Gabba Gabba LIVE, House of Blues, SXSW, Trees Dallas, Hollywood Palladium, Nokia Theater LA, Afro Punk Fest NYC, The Warfield San Francisco, The Wiltern Los Angeles, The Paramount Theater Oakland CA and Seattle WA, Fox Theater, The UIC Pavilion Chicago, Best Buy Theater NYC, the Red Bull Soundclash Starfes’ in Tokyo. Tha Beatitudes were Rza’s backing band from 2016-2018.

DJ DEUCE

DJ Deuce is an open format DJ out of Dallas, TX. He started his career at the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015, spinning at numerous school functions and parties. Shortly after, he made his way into the Dallas nightlife where he became one of the youngest DJs in the DFW metroplex to hold several residencies. 

DJ MOMO

DJ MOMO is a homegrown St. Louis native, who now brings his roots and talents to Dallas, Texas. He has more than 20 years of experience as a keyboard player specializing in contemporary gospel, R&B, and classical music. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems with an emphasis in Information Security, as well as an associate degree in Networking Technology. DJ MOMO has been aspiring to be a DJ for many years; has come a long way, from being an MC on the mic at clubs, parties, and weddings to carrying crates of records for DJs. He continues to improve his craft by being a regular student at The Keep Spinning DJ Academy. 

 

DJ MOMO is currently a member of the Texas Fleet DJs. He has been actively DJing since 2018, but has been a church musician for more than two decades. He has a wide variety of knowledge in several genres of music. He continues to evolve musically by learning new software, using the latest equipment, and communicating with other DJs. DJ MOMO currently helps other aspiring and up-and-coming DJs by serving as an instructor at The Keep Spinning DJ Academy; sharing knowledge and helping them overcome struggles that he had experienced along the way. He actively has his own radio station and playing venues such as the House Of Blues.

DJ SAUCY D

De’Arion Wafer AKA DJ SaucyD is an up and coming DJ in the DFW area. Hip-Hop and R&B is where his heart is, but he does not limit himself to one genre. His versatility in musical taste leads him to take on any event. He has made a name for himself and gained support and a following in a short amount of time in the creative scene in Dallas, TX.

 

He began doing small parties and events and took off to performing at concerts, festivals, weddings, nightlife, and even throwing his own events! These concerts include: SoWhat?! Music Festival, opening DJ for Westside Gunn, Tay Money, and a number of LiveNation events. His drive and passion for DJ’ing has led him to want to further his skills, become an aspiring Tour DJ and producer, and instruct others here at Keep Spinning DJ Academy. 

DJ DRAFT PICK

DJ Draft Pick uses his musical knowledge to take crowds on a journey full of emotion, nostalgia, and seamless transitions. Guiding his crowd through an uptempo atmosphere he aspires to create timeless experiences that encompass all genres of music. DJ Draft Pick was inspired by his father who instilled a strong level of passion early on. That passion carried him through his undergraduate career at Indiana University-Bloomington, which led him to his love for DJ’ing. Understanding the power of music, he studies his crowds to create a unique environment that creates lasting memories.
